History:
1448: Michael is born to Paul and Marie de Lioncourt in Paris France. He is educated by his mother and relatives and has a happy childhood. Michael is taught how to be a nobleman as well as someone skilled with a sword. He proves to be a adept learner and makes many friends among the other noble families in France.
1464: Michael meets Claire du Pont during a Mass on Sunday. He begins courting her a few days afterward, however when Michael proposes marriage she declines and is soon married to another man. Michael takes the news hard but recovers quickly by courting and sleeping with various women. Also during this time Michael attends a fencing school in Paris and becomes one of the top students.
1471: Michael experiences death for the first time during a duel over a married woman. He revives in front of a small crowd and makes a run for his family estate. He is quickly followed and arrested. During his trial his family disown him publicly and he is thrown into prison to await purging. A few days later while in his cell he is visited by a priest who comes to ask him to repent his sins and make his peace with God. The priest introduces himself as Darius and helps Michael to escape. Once freed Darius hides Michael in his monastery and begins to teach de Lioncourt about Immortality and the skills needed to survive. Darius earns Michael’s reverence and respect and the two become good friends. After two years Darius ends his teaching and Michael leaves the monastery and France altogether.
1515: Michael is spotted in Spain working in his very own vineyard and bakery. He lives quietly and make a little friends. Has an altercation with Immortal Johnny Fairbanks and de Lioncourt defeats him.
1552: Michael leaves Spain for Italy. He resides in Florence for a time until he meets Immortal Sebastiano Armagoza and the two become rivals. The two first meet and learn that they have been courting the same woman. Michael insists to Armagoza that he discontinue to pursue the affection of the woman but the Florentine declines. However the matter is settled due to the woman accidentally dying.
1610: de Lioncourt travels to England and learns to build ships. Continuing to further his education Michael enrolls in to Cambridge and graduates with a Law degree. Beheads Immortal Saki Toff.
1650: Sails to Virginia and practices law in a settlement in Portsmouth, After a decade of practicing he enters in a partnership with a cotton farmer and together they becomes one of the leading cotton growers in the new world.
1700-1800: Moves to Boston, Mass. Has a business rivalry with a tobacco and cotton farmer. Michael decides to grow a vineyard to produce and sell wine. He also learns how to cook from some experienced chefs in the area. Fights alongside the colonists during the American revolution. After the war, Michael returns to his vineyard and lives quietly. Learns of the split of the de Lioncourt family during the French Revolution, some fleeing to England to escape certain death and the remaining half not bothering with either side of the conflict.
1825: Michael travels to Japan and meets Immortal Kenji Okawa. Okawa trains Michael in Shaolin Kung Fu. During this time Michael creates the sword he uses today. Made of Damascus steel, Defeats Immortals JoAnne Ancry and Stephen Blakney.
1894: Is spotted in Rome, acquainted with a powerful family in Rome.
1900: Returns to America and settles in Seattle. Invests in the Railroad industry and increases his capital. Shortly afterward he makes a stake in the work of Henry Ford and his invention of the automobile. He helps to get the automobile industry on its feet and to make it successful.
1950-1965: Resides in Washington D.C. Earns a degree in Teaching and becomes a history professor.
1966-1982: Decides that teaching wasn't for him. Returns to England and discovers a love for blues music and makes a living as a small known blues singer until he is discovered by session guitarist Jason Pope. Together the two, along with bassist Paul Reeves and John Bradley form the rock band Innuendo. The band lays down the formation of Hard Rock music. They make albums and sell out arenas worldwide. They become the biggest rock band of the 1970's. However with the unexpected death of John Bradley due to a car crash. The remaining members decide to break up in 1980. Two years after Jason Pope releases Innuendo’s final studio album titled “Finale.” To this day Innuendo is regarded as one of the most revered bands in all of music history.
1983-1990: Michael lives quietly, traveling every so often. Meeting Immortals now and then, making friends with some and defeating others in battle. Learns of the death of Kenji at the hands of David Ashton.
1991-1994: Returns to Seattle and opens up a small rock and roll club. He discovers a lot of the Seattle bands at the time. Meets mortal woman Jane Cunningham and the two fall in love,. The two live peacefully until Jane is killed by Sebastiano Armagoza. However Armagoza flees before Michael can find him, but leaves a note for Michael to find at his home.
1995-2000: Michael leaves Seattle and travels to avenge the death of his girlfriend. Armagoza keeps ahead of him step by step. When de Lioncourt finds Armagoza the two battle on Christmas Eve 1999. Michael defeats Armagoza once and for all. Taking the Florentine’s head dispassionately and coldly.
2001-2006: Michael travels to Tibet. And resides in another Monastery.
2007-Present Day: Finished with Holy Ground. Michael returns to the world a changed and happier man. He returns to Washington State and invests in Star bucks, Microsoft, and Boeing. He buys a lot of stock in the companies and becomes a silent owner. He finally meets David Ashton and the two form a shaky friendship. However that friendship is ended when Ashton insults de Lioncourt. Realizing that Ashton is an ‘ancient snob’ Michael challenges Ashton and is barely able to defeat him. After the battle Michael resolves to seek out friendly Immortals and learn as much swordplay as he can.
